Weaned calves

• Our weaned calves are young males weaned at the age of 50-60 days, and marketed after a period of around 4 months in a weaning workshop.

• Mainly of the Montbéliarde breed, they may also, depending on customer needs, be Prim’Hostein or crossed with a beef breed.

• The health preparation (in particular vaccination against the main respiratory diseases), dehorning and an appropriate diet ensure that these calves have an excellent profile as soon as they enter the fattening workshop.

• Designed to produce early maturing young bulls, they are marketed at a weight of around 180 to 200 kg. Upon request from our customers, the time spent in the weaning workshop can be extended to obtain heavier animals.
